Jiongeze means grow yourself, improve yourself, and keep moving forward.
Everyone starts somewhere.
Some people begin with experience.
Some begin with ideas.
Some begin with curiosity.
Some begin with nothing more than a willingness to learn.
Jiongeze was created to help learners move from knowledge to opportunity through small steps, practical activities, creativity, and community action.
Kila hatua ndogo leo, ni kesho bora.
Every small step today creates a better tomorrow.
Jiongeze began from a simple observation.
I met Hamis, a young boy working in my garden, and I saw someone with curiosity, potential, and a willingness to learn.
What I observed was not a lack of ability. I saw a person whose opportunities had been limited.
Hamis had never attended formal school regularly, although at one point, around the age of twelve, he joined adult education classes for a short period. He learned some important foundations such as counting and writing.
But I kept asking myself:
What happens to people with potential when learning opportunities stop too early?
Many young people and community members can learn, contribute, create, and grow if they are given structure, encouragement, and practical experiences.
Jiongeze was created from that question.
The purpose is not simply to teach computer skills.
The purpose is to help learners:
Growth often begins with small opportunities.
Jiongeze means:
Learn → Build → Share → Grow
Jiongeze is a youth initiative developed through CDI.
It was created to help young people and community members turn learning into growth and opportunities through practical experiences and small, meaningful actions.
Jiongeze helps learners:
✓ Learn practical skills
✓ Build confidence
✓ Create ideas
✓ Work with communities
✓ Turn knowledge into opportunities
Learning is not only about reading.
Learning also happens when we:

Each stage builds on the previous one.
Learning starts with small actions.
Small actions become skills.
Skills become projects.
Projects create opportunities.
This guide is organized into different sections:
Learn about the initiative and understand the journey.
Build practical skills step by step.
Read real stories and experiences.
Apply learning through simple community activities.
Use practical references and supporting materials.
You do not need to know everything before starting.
You only need:
Mistakes are part of learning.
Questions are part of learning.
Progress is part of learning.
Before moving to the next section, think about these questions:
What do I want to learn?
What skills would I like to build?
How can I help my community?
What small step can I start today?
